How it Started

Edelbio was conceived on a day like any other. Like many revolutionary ideas, it began in front of a mirror.

Founder Karine J. Wittmer, mother of 2 young daughters, was getting ready for a day at work, going through her usual routine of lotions, powders, and scents. Her oldest daughter, Chloé, was only two years old at the time. She was watching her mother intently as she went through the primping process, curious to see what all the fuss was about, then pointed to the products on the armoire and uttered two words: –Me, too.”

Karine smiled, put a dollop of cream on her little finger, and bent over to put it on her child's face. Suddenly, she stopped and realized that, in fact, she didn't really know what chemicals it contained, and that most likely they were not safe for Chloş's delicate skin. Then she realized something else: they were probably not safe for her skin, either.

Women spend so much time and energy - not to mention money - on their beauty regiment, but do not always know if what they are putting on their skin is good for them. Mothers spend even more time and energy with their daughters, but do not always share in the bonding experience of beauty.

Thus, Edelbio was born from the simplicity and purity of a mother's love, and her desire to pass on a healthy beauty experience to the next generation.
